Michael Rosenthal

English and Comparative Literature

Michael Rosenthal received a B.A. from Harvard University (1958), an M.A. from University of Wisconsin (1959) and a Ph.D. from Columbia (1967). Professor Rosenthal is interested in British literature and culture of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He is the author of Virginia Woolf and The Character Factory: Baden-Powell's Boy Scouts and the Imperatives of Empire.
